Universal Robots launches Gen 7 at IMTS, pairing new g-Series arms, the CB7 Core controller and PolyScope X software to move AI-based robotics from development into production.

Universal Robots, a Teradyne Robotics company, has introduced Gen 7, its seventh-generation industrial robot platform, at the IMTS trade show. The platform combines new robot arms, a controller, teach pendant and tool flange, all built around the company's PolyScope X robot operating system. Universal Robots says the redesign supplies the computing power, connectivity, sensing and software tools needed to move AI-based robotic applications from development into industrial operations.
