Kuka launched the KMP 250P, a new AMR platform designed to carry goods and components weighing up to 250 kilograms. The KMP 250P shares accessories and charging options with the KMP 600P and KMP 1500P, simplifying fleet management. It is managed via Kuka.AMR Fleet software and supports the VDA 5050 communication standard. A new “sleep mode” function enables efficient standby for large fleets. The unit uses a differential drive and offers both conductive and inductive charging for continuous operation.
Safety features include two diagonally mounted laser scanners and 3D cameras providing 360-degree monitoring. The platform can automatically navigate around obstacles or stop completely if necessary. Cleanroom and ESD versions are planned for sensitive environments. A tugger variant, the KMP 250P-T, is slated for 2026, capable of docking onto transport trolleys and pulling loads up to 500 kilograms.
