MasterMover, a specialist in electric tuggers, announced it would debut its TOW300 tugger AGV at ProMat 2025 in Chicago (March 17–20). For the first time publicly, the AGV would be demonstrated live in partnership with BlueBotics on their stand (N6951), showcasing integration of BlueBotics’ navigation technology with MasterMover’s heavy-duty electric tuggers.
The TOW300 is part of the MasterTow range with capacities up to 44,000 lbs. It is designed for complex material handling tasks indoors or outdoors, targeting industries such as manufacturing, distribution, automotive, and commercial vehicle assembly. The AGV can handle risky movements, repetitive tasks, and lineside delivery, aiming to reallocate labor more productively.
According to James Jones, automation expert at MasterMover, the towing AGV improves operational efficiency, reduces cycle times, and handles heavier payloads than traditional tow tractors. It creates a flexible train system, allowing more trolleys or carts to be added to maximize throughput.
