These certifications were issued by FM Approvals, a Nationally Recognized Test Lab, confirming the systems are safe for use in hazardous locations.
The C1D1 certification for the Side Launcher is particularly significant as it validates safe deployment and retrieval of the SR-3 robot in floating roof tanks that often contain low flashpoint products. The SR-3 and Side Launcher have been commercially available since fall 2023, following milestone testing with ExxonMobil.
These certifications expand Square Robot's service portfolio, enabling inspections of tanks that previously had to be taken offline. The company claims to be the first to safely inspect a new group of low flashpoint product tanks using robotic technology.
