The system is currently used to build the StilRide 1, a lightweight electric motorcycle, and has potential applications in trains, cars, and even space construction. At Georgia Tech, the tooling will support education and innovation under the 'Origami Engineering' programme, giving students hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing. Dr Lauren Stewart highlighted the technology's cost-effectiveness and environmental adaptability, while CEO Jonas Nyvang expressed excitement about the technology being used overseas and hoped it would inspire sustainable manufacturing innovation.
