Ambi Robotics unveiled the AmbiSort B-Series, a modular parcel induction and sorting system designed for high-speed supply chain operations. The system automates the entire sorting process, from induction to placement into gaylord destinations, addressing labor-intensive manual tasks.
The B-Series offers multiple configurations, including an induction cell for automated induction from bins or conveyors, and an end-to-end sortation setup with a six-sided scan tunnel and bidirectional conveyor divert modules. It can also integrate with existing sorters for vision-based quality control and expansion.
Powered by the company's Sim2Real AI and AmbiOS, the system achieves throughput exceeding 1,200 parcels per hour with accuracy rates over 99.5 percent. It handles various package types, including boxes, polybags, and flats, and can be expanded with additional induction cells or destinations.
According to CEO Jim Liefer, the B-Series marks the company's entry into automated induction, middle-mile sortation, and reverse logistics, building on the success of 80 deployed A-Series systems. The system also includes access to AmbiAccess, a fleet management and business intelligence platform.
