FarmWise launched Vulcan, a weeding implement now available for pre-order and named to the World Ag Expo's 2023 Top-10 New Products list. Vulcan uses computer vision and deep learning models trained on millions of images to remove weeds inter-row and intra-row with sub-inch precision, covering over 20 vegetable crops including lettuce and broccoli.
The machine features an open cultivator frame for high visibility and reliable operation in all lighting conditions. Operators can monitor quality via an in-cab display and make micro blade adjustments. Weeding arms can be added or removed in under 20 minutes, and the single-bed model weighs under 3,500 pounds, allowing use in wet conditions with standard tractors.
FarmWise also announced a teleoperations program for live remote monitoring and support, plus software updates with upgraded crop models. Vulcan is offered in single- and triple-bed models, with first deliveries scheduled for late Q3 2023.
